Will CDG discs play in my DVD, VCD or computer player?
Yes! CDG discs will play in any CD player but you won't see the words on your TV screen (you will only hear the backing track). CDG discs will not play in a DVD or VCD player. You may be able to play them in your computer depending on the software you have loaded but normally you need to download special software for the job!
VCD or DVD will only play in a DVD player
or a dedicated Karaoke player, they will not play in a CD player.
CDG is a cost effective format if you just want the backing track. If you require the words to display on a screen you really need a dedicated Karaoke player, or your computer needs the software to play DVD, VCD or CDG discs. Dedicated Karaoke players also allow you to utilise the key changer facility on DVD and VCD discs so you can have the singer on/singer off function which helps in learning a song.
Please insure that you choose the disc format
very carefully as there is no refunds on Karaoke discs, we can refund
a faulty disc but only if we are notified within 7 days of purchase
and this will then be sent back to the manufacturer to be accessed.
